About our Chapter

Catholic Schoolhouse of Steubenville, Ohio meets Wednesday mornings, from September through May. Our weekly meetings – called “Chapter Days” begin with Mass, include classes for homeschooled students in preschool through high school, and end with lunch, play, and fellowship together.

In their academic classes grammar students learn and review memory work and enjoy hands-on art and science projects while upper level students engage in more in-depth art and science classes, participate in Socratic discussions and hone their writing and public speaking skills.

Our pre-grammar program, with a focus on the CSH core virtues, includes a gentle introduction to memory work, and age appropriate art and science activities. The goals of the pre-grammar program are to expose our very young children to the structure of the CSH day and increase family unity through shared learning.
